The march started from the Mandi House in the heart of Delhi and proceeded towards Jantar Mantar. The organizers had given a call to gherao the Parliament House. It is unlikely that the police would allow them to move ahead of the Jantar Mantar.
The march was being led by Welfare Party's national president Dr. SQR Ilyas and Co-Convenor of Alliance Against CAA-NRC-NPR Mujtaba Farooque.
Since CAA was passed by the Parliament on December 11, there have been massive nationwide protests against it and NRC-NPR.
