NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 6—Girl students under the banner of 'Delhi University Girl Students' on Wednesday evening took out a march against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

The march which had hundreds of protesting students from different colleges under Delhi University had the support of various student organisations like Students Federation of India (SFI), Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), Pinjra Tod and All India Students Association (AISA).

Protestors raised slogans like '"Asalaam neelsalaam, intifada,  inquilab, Jai Bhim, Islamophobia Zinda hai, nahi chalega". Mrs Nandita Narain, an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics of St Stephens College, addressed the gathering.

"It is the same Delhi Police that stood mute spectators to ‘Goli Maaro Salon ko’ calls that threaten the peaceful protests to defend the Constitution", She said. Speaking to India Tomorrow, Raniya Zulaikha, a student at Ramjas College, who was part of the protests, said they intended to go with different forms of protests in the coming days. "We will raise our voices against this draconian law in all the ways we can inside and outside campus ", She added.
