Bajrang Dal men thrash Imam at mosque, force him to chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'

New Delhi, July 12: The day entire nation including religious minority Muslim stood united in protest against the terror attack at Amarnath Yatra pilgrims, a group of men, said to be members of Hindu-right Bajrang Dal, thrashed Imam of a mosque in Hisar district of BJP-ruled Haryana during a protest demonstration against the terror attack and video shows they forced him to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai' at the gate of the mosque.
The video, telecast by several TV channels including Times Now and India TV, shows around a dozen men standing at the gate of a mosque and chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. As they are repeatedly asking the cleric to chant this line, one of them slaps him and another one tries to pull him by collar out of the mosque gate.
The Bajrang Dal had given a call for nationwide protest on Tuesday to condemn the Monday night terror attack at Amarnath Yatra. Some of its members took out a protest demonstration in Hisar also and before burning an effigy near the gate of the mosque, they thrashed the imam and forced him to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
